Dr. Marc A. Edelstein is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist
in private practice in Beverly Hills, California . A published
author in the field of gastroenterology, Dr. Edelstein is recognized
as a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting
the gastrointestinal system including the esophagus, stomach, intestine,
colon, liver, and pancreas. Dr. Edelstein specializes
in gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, as well as diagnostic
and therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy. He is experienced
in the use of technologically advanced procedures including
wireless capsule enteroscopy.
Dr. Edelstein has authored several book chapters and numerous
articles for peer-reviewed publications, and he has presented his
research at national meetings. Dr. Edelstein has received
numerous honors and awards and has been involved in several
local and national committees. He is currently a member of several
professional societies. He is a fellow of the American College
of Physicians and is also a member of the American Gastroenterological
Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American
Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Association
for the Study of Liver Disease, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Edelstein completed his undergraduate studies as well
as his MD degree at Boston University . He then completed
his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA Medical
Center and was selected for a fellowship in Gastroenterology which
he also completed at UCLA Medical Center . He is board certified
in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Edelstein is
currently an attending physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
where he serves on the Board of Governors and also teaches in the
gastroenterology and endoscopy clinics. He is a member of the colorectal
cancer program at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute
at Cedars Sinai Medical Center . Additionally, Dr. Edelstein is
the medical director of Robertson Surgical Center in Beverly Hills,
California.
