Dr. Brian Perri specializes in reconstructive surgery for spinal tumors and deformities, as well as minimally invasive and motion preservation surgery for degenerative spinal diseases.

Dr. Perri's research interests include traumatic spinal cord injury and therapies for subsequent neuroprotection and recovery. He also has conducted research on artificial disc replacement and its potential postoperative complications, and he developed a classification system for cervical kyphotic deformities with strategies and techniques for surgical reconstruction. Dr. Perri has advanced thoracoscopic sympathectomy surgery to a more minimally invasive procedure using only two pinhole incisions under each arm. He has presented his findings at the meetings of the Cervical Spine Research Society, the North American Spine Society, the Richard Lende Winter Neurosurgery Conference and the American Association of Neurologic Surgeons/Central Nervous System Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves.

Dr. Perri has served as a guest reviewer for The Spine Journal, the official journal of the North American Spine Society. He also co-authored surgical textbook chapters on subjects including the complications and treatments of anterior cervical spine surgery, surgical treatment of acute cervical fractures, techniques for cervical-thoracic pedicle subtraction osteotomy for correction of cervical kyphosis, and thoracoscopic sympathectomy for treatment of hyperhidrosis.  

Dr. Perri is a member of the North American Spine Society, the American Ostoepathic Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

He received his bachelor's degree from Allegheny College and his osteopathic medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Perri earned a master's degree in neuroscience from the University of Hartford - University of Pennsylvania. He then completed his orthopedic residency at Pinnacle Health Systems in Hershey, Pennsylvania. In addition, Dr. Perri completed fellowship training in spine surgery at the Institute for Spinal Disorders at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Currently, Dr. Perri is the Associate Director of Orthopedic Spine Surgery at Cedars-Sinai.
